Regulatory Compliance Analyst

Amy McDaniel provides the Institutional Review Board and research community with analytical support concerning the protection of human subjects in research. She conducts in-service presentations for SDSU-affiliated research centers and courses regarding the ethical issues of involving human participants in research and in navigating the IRB application and review process.

Before joining the SDSU Division of Research Affairs team as a Regulatory Compliance Analyst/Educator in 2004, McDaniel coordinated research studies at a SDSU-affiliated research center housed at Rady's Children's Hospital, San Diego, and earned a UCSD Extension Specialized Certificate in Clinical Trials Administration. Her interests involve the intersection of policy, administration, ethics and the human endeavor.
